Abigale Le Miller bio
Abigale Lee Miller (born on September 21, 1965), is an American choreographer teacher, dance instructor, and reality TV personality. Abby Lee Dance Company is her idea, and it ran for eight seasons on Dance Moms. On June 27, 2016, Miller pleaded guilty to criminal bankruptcy fraud. Miller was sentenced to one and one-half years in federal prison. She was released on March 27, 2018. In April of 2018 she was diagnosed with lymphoma. the type of cancer that made her unable to walk. She is now using a wheelchair to get around. Miller was a dancer in her early years in Penn Hills, Pennsylvania, an Pittsburgh suburb. She studied under the guidance of her mother at the Maryen Lorrain Dance Studio. Miller was 14 when she was asked to choreograph and coaching duties for one of her mother’s competitive dance teams. Miller took control of the studio and renamed Reign Dance Productions in 1995. Miller was certified by Dance Masters of America, and was also a member of Dance Masters of Pennsylvania Chapter 10 (February 1986). However, DMA terminated her membership in February 2012, citing that Miller's reality TV show Dance Moms was a "complete mistaken portrayal of the teachers we have and their students" and was detrimental to the profession.
