Moss was born on the 13th of February in 1977. He is an American footballer. He
was a player with the Minnesota Vikings (Oak Raiders), New England Patriots
(New England Patriots), Tennessee Titans (Tennessee Titans), and the San
Francisco 49ers in the National Football League. He is widely acknowledged as
Jerry Rice's most outstanding wide receiver. He holds the NFL single-season
touchdown reception record of 23 in 2007, the NFL rookie single season touchdown
reception record (17 in 1998), and is second on the all-time NFL regular season
touchdown receptions with 156. Moss is known for his ability get contested
catches. The term "mossed", which has been incorporated into the
football vocabulary, was popularized because of this. Following football, he
began working with ESPN as an analyst in the studio for their Sunday NFL
Countdown and Monday Night Countdown programs. Moss was born in Rand, West
Virginia. He was a student at DuPont High School, one of two schools which
later consolidated into Riverside High School, where he excelled in football,
basketball as well as baseball and track. Randy was also on the school's debate
team. Moss was a DuPont Panthers' football player who helped them win
back-to-back state championshipsin 1992 and 1993. Moss was a top wide receiver.
He also played free safety and returned punts. He was awarded the Kennedy Award
for West Virginia Football Player of the Year in the year 1994. Parade magazine
named him to their annual All-American high school football team in 1995 and in
2009, named him as one of the 50 most influential football players from high
school of all time.
